IP Relay: IP Relay makes it easier for deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired people to communicate by phone. Using the internet, it links text-based communication with voice calls. A relay operator helps facilitate the conversation by reading typed messages aloud and typing spoken responses. Learn more about using IP Relay.
Message Relay Service (MRS): Message Relay Service helps deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired people who use a Teletypewriter (TTY) to make and receive phone calls. A relay operator calls the person the TTY user wants to communicate with and then reads typed messages to this person while typing back their spoken response.Learn more about using Message Relay Service.
Voice Carry Over (VCO): Voice Carry Over is a telecommunications service designed for people who can speak clearly but have difficulty hearing. They speak directly to another person and a relay operator types the other person’s spoken responses onto a Teletypewriter or VCO phone screen. Learn more about using Voice Carry Over.
Hearing Carry Over: Hearing Carry Over helps those who can hear but rely on typing to communicate. A relay operator reads their typed words aloud to another person. Learn more about using Hearing Carry Over.
Video Relay Service (VRS): Video Relay Service (VRS) is a free service provided by SRV Canada VRS. VRS helps people who use sign language to communicate with voice telephone users. VRS callers are connected by video with a sign language interpreter who provides real time interpretation of telephone calls.

T911 (Text with 9-1-1): T911 is an emergency text messaging service for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired, allowing registered users to communicate with 911 call centres, via text messages from their mobile phone, in the event of an emergency.
