Laura Nicole Daeger has created a little corner of community and coffee in Halifax. Dilly Dally coffee is known in Halifax for its delicious drinks, tasty treats, and an atmosphere of both fun and focus. It’s been a community staple for over seven years and a must-stop when visiting the city's burgeoning Quinpool district. Of course, behind every coffee shop is a team of dedicated employees whose mission is to serve both caffeine and kindness. Growing up in the hospitality industry, Laura always wanted a space to call her own. Spending time in Barcelona and experiencing the coffee culture there is what inspired Laura to start Dilly Dally. She finds fulfillment daily by spending time with her customers and team members and fostering a community that thrives around her. Laura’s team is the backbone of the café, which has given her the freedom to have the flexibility and trust in her team. Laura says that a strong team is everything and that’s obvious at Dilly Dally where the team runs the business like their own bringing a high standard of care and dedication.

Laura has created an environment that the community, customers and staff have come to adore. She has faced many challenges, as entrepreneurs do, and she encourages everyone to create a support base that understands the day-to-day life of an entrepreneur.
