FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Grande Prairie, AB – As part of Eastlink’s investment in the community of Redwood Meadows, people here will now have access to even faster internet speeds via Eastlink’s fibre network.
“We’re so pleased to upgrade internet service in Redwood Meadows by more than doubling the speed currently available to residents,” said Stephanie Morash, Sales and Marketing Manager. “Our customers tell us they want and need faster internet to run the increasing number of devices and applications in their homes and businesses, which makes access to a strong and reliable high speed internet connection, particularly in smaller communities, more important than ever.”
Internet usage continues to climb exponentially at a rate of 40+% every year, driven largely by video streaming, online learning, music, gaming and emerging connected-home technologies.
“Investing in small towns and communities is a fundamental part of who we are as a company,” said Deborah Shaffner, CEO Eastlink. “We’re really proud of our track record in leveraging our world class fibre network and advanced technologies across the communities we serve in Alberta.”
Over the last five years, Eastlink has invested more than $55M in the many small towns and communities it serves across Alberta, including Redwood Meadows.
