Meet Our People: Brandon Cosgrove

If there’s one thing you should know about Brandon Cosgrove, it’s that he doesn’t shy away from a challenge. As an Advanced Maintenance Technician who holds a Master Technician certification in Halifax, he’s the go-to guy who rolls up when storms roll through—repairing downed lines, fixing outages, and making sure Eastlink customers aren’t left staring at a blank screen. “I really enjoy getting people back up and running after a big storm,” he says. “There’s something satisfying about putting everything back together.”

Recently, Brandon stepped out from behind the wires and into the spotlight, appearing not only in some of our photography, but also as the voice in Eastlink’s latest radio commercial for our WiFi Guarantee campaign. “It was a lot of fun,” he says. “I got to meet new people and see everything that goes on behind the scenes.” Turns out, fixing cables and having a good recording booth performance require the same thing: focus.

For anyone considering a career in this field, Brandon has some helpful insight: “I like it because I get to be outdoors and not stuck behind a desk. There’s a lot of variety—the places you go, who you meet. No two days are the same.”

When the work boots come off, you’ll find him spending time with his family and dogs, hitting the ice for a game of hockey, or heading into the woods for a camping trip. Storms may come and go, but Brandon? He’s always ready.
