Gerry Hayes helps his team and community by balancing challenges in the field and on the ice.
Our Eastlink teams are full of people committed to making the company and their communities a better place. Sudbury Operations Manager Gerry Hayes spends his days engaging with a variety of teams, from technicians in the field to hockey players at the rink.
When he joined Eastlink, Gerry was excited by the opportunity to learn the ropes in our ever-evolving telecommunications industry. Since then, he says the most rewarding parts of the job are working with teams in the field and interacting with customers across his northern Ontario community.
Outside of work, Gerry takes his dedication to the ice where he’s been a hockey coach in Sudbury for 8 years and counting. What started as a bonding experience for his family has turned into a way of life. Gerry's volunteer work provides an encouraging environment for young hockey players to enjoy the game and become life-long athletes. Working at Eastlink has given Gerry the space and time he needs to take on this role and be a devoted coach in Ontario.
