To block your name and phone number from appearing on the call display screen of the person you’re calling, press *67 before placing your call.
To display a non-published phone number on the call display screen of the person you’re calling, press *97 in Atlantic Canada or *68 outside of Atlantic Canada before placing your call.
Press *69 to find out who called you last. Press 1 to call the person back.
Call Forward lets you route incoming calls to another number. While Call Forward is on, you can still make outgoing calls.
To turn on Call Forward
Pick up the receiver and press *72.
Listen for a dial tone.
Enter the number that you want to forward your calls to.
A call will now be made to that number. Call Forward will be activated only if the call is answered. If the line is busy, hang up and repeat the process until the call is answered.
To turn off Call Forward:
Pick up the receiver and press *73.
Listen for a confirmation tone and then hang up. All incoming calls will now ring normally on your phone.
Visual Call Waiting works with Call Waiting and Call Display. This service displays the name and number of the incoming caller (if available) when you are on the phone. Users will need a telephone with a compatible display screen to use the service.
A special tone will alert you to a waiting call. To answer the incoming call, quickly press and release the receiver button (the hang-up button) on your telephone. Your first caller will automatically be put on hold while you answer the second call
NOTE: If your phone has a Link or Flash button, you can use this instead.
Use Call Screen to block up to 12 unwanted callers. When someone you’ve screened calls you, they’ll hear a message saying “The person you are calling is not accepting your call at this time. Please try again later.”. You may not be able to screen incoming calls made from certain phone networks.
To activate or deactivate Call Screen:
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Press *60.
3. There will be a 2-3 second delay, then follow the prompts.
4. To screen the last caller, press # when prompted.
Call Trace identifies and documents the phone number of your last incoming call, which you can provide to the police if required. Note that not all calls can be traced.
To activate Call Trace:
1. Hang up on the caller.
2. Pick up the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
3. Press *57.
4. A recorded message will let you know if the call was successfully traced. If you’d like to take further action, you’ll need to contact the police directly.
Use Call Waiting to make sure you don’t miss an important call. If you’re already on the phone, a special tone will alert you to incoming calls.
To answer a waiting call:
1. Quickly press and release the receiver, link or flash button. Your first call will automatically be put on hold while you answer the second call.
To alternate between calls:
1. Press and release the receiver button. Each conversation will remain private.
To end either call:
1. Quickly press and release the receiver button or press the link or flash button.
To temporarily turn off Call Waiting:
1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
2. Press *70 and listen for a confirmation tone.
You’re now ready to make a call that won’t be interrupted by Call Waiting. Call Waiting will turn back on as soon as you hang up.
Ring Again lets you know when the number you’re trying to call becomes available. Press *66 to re-try a busy line for up to 30 minutes. On most phones, a special call back ring will let you know when the number you’re trying to call is available, but some phones will ring normally. Press *86 to cancel your Ring Again request.
Select Ring lets you add additional numbers to your existing phone line, with their own unique ringtone. To set this feature up, call us at 1-888-345-1111 or chat with us online.
Add another person to a call with Three Way Calling.
To add the third person:
1. Quickly press and release the receiver button to put the current caller on hold.
2. Enter the third person’s phone number when you hear a dial tone.
3. Quickly press and release the receiver button to connect the two callers.
4. If the third person did not answer or you’d like to disconnect them, press and release the receiver button to be reconnected with the person on hold.
