Follow the steps below to change your wifi network name and password, unless you’re a Smart Home & Security customer. In that case, you’ll need our help so chat with us online or call us at 1-888-345-1111.
You can change your WiFi name and password in the eero app. If you haven’t already, download the app for iOS here or for Android here.
Open your eero app
Go to your Settings
If you want to change your WiFi name, select WiFi Name, enter the new name and press Save.
If you want to change your password, select WiFi Password, then select Edit Password. Enter the new password and press Save.
Reconnect your devices to WiFi using your new name and/or password.
Select your modem below for instructions to change your WiFi name or password.

Open a web browser and type ‘192.168.0.1’ into the address bar and press Enter
Next, you’ll need to enter your username and password:
Enter ‘admin’ as your username.
Enter the pre-shared key found on the sticker on the bottom of your modem as your password.
Click Login
If you want to change your WiFi name (SSID), under both the WiFi 2.4 GHz and the WiFi 5.0 GHz sections, enter the new name you’d like to use. We recommend adding ‘5G’ at the end of the name of your WiFi 5.0 GHz network.
If you want to change your password (pre-shared key), under both the WiFi 2.4 GHz and the WiFi 5.0 GHz sections, enter the new password you’d like to use.
Click Apply to save your changes.
Reconnect your devices to WiFi using your new name and/or password.

Open a web browser and type ‘192.168.0.1’ into the address bar and press Enter
Next, you’ll need to enter your username and password:
Enter ‘cusadmin’ as your username.
Enter your current WiFi password.
Click Login
Under the Wireless section and the 2.4G tab you can change your WiFi name (SSID) and password. Click Save Changes.
Under the Wireless section and the 5G tab you can change your WiFi name (SSID) and password. We recommend adding ‘5.0’ at the end of the name. Click Save Changes.
Reconnect your devices to WiFi using your new name and/or password.
