A partition is a sectioned-off portion of a security system that can be operated independently from other areas.
Partitioning a system can be helpful if your property has restricted areas that need to be secured. For example, if you set up your home office as a separate partition from the rest of your home, you’ll be able to arm your home office while other rooms remain disarmed.
If you require partitioning, contact us at 1-866-476-0420 and our technical support team will be able to enable or disable the feature. Once enabled, up to 4 partitions can be created. Partitioning is available for the IQ4 Hub and IQ Hub panels.

Once you have set up a partition, you can set them to different alarm states. See the below options for controlling or modifying a partition:

Use test mode to troubleshoot your security system. When a system is in test mode with the monitoring station, it won’t respond to alarms and won’t dispatch emergency services. This allows tests and system maintenance to be performed without worry.
